After graduating from Penn State University, Dr. Sara Organist earned her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She has worked in the Philadelphia area since then and has a background in emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Organist joined our team at the Animals' Hospital in 2011 and looks forward to bonding with our clients and their four-legged friends. She has a special interest in client education, surgery, behavior, and internal medicine. |

Dr. Andrea Leof, VMD |

Dr. Andrea Leof received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation she first began working with the Women's SPCA in Philadelphia. Dr. Leof was the first associate to join Dr. Kearse at The Animals' Hospital in May of 1994. She continues to work for the hospital four days a week seeing patients. Dr. Leof especially likes meeting new "toodlets" puppies and kittens and watching them grow into adults. She has the ability to teach and educate both the staff and our clients on a daily basis and the hospital would not be the same without her. |

Dr. Steven Buttil, VMD |

Dr. Steven Buttil received his undergraduate degree from Penn State. He then continued his education at the University of Penn receiving his VMD in 1977. Dr. Buttil joined The Animals' Hospital team in 1998 and continues to work as a part-time veterinarian for the hospital. Dr. Butill works both in surgery and in the exam rooms with our patients four days a week. He has a special interest for internal medicine cases and continues to strengthen the human animal bond with his patients. He is always able to keep our team up-to-date with sports and new cooking tips, which is well appreciated by the entire staff. |

Dr. Sarah McIsaac-Kearse, DVM |

Dr. McIsaac-Kearse began her career with The Animals' Hospital in 1997 volunteering until 1998 as a kennel assistant. Her passion and eagerness to learn soon landed her a position as a technician. Dr. McIsaac-Kearse continue her love for veterinary medicine first completing her undergraduate at Penn State and her DVM from Kansas State. You will often find Dr. McIsaac-Kearse still sporting her Kansas City color "purple" while now working full-time since 2008 as a veterinarian for The Animals' Hospital. She has a special interest in parasites and zoonotic diseases and is a major part of our Animals' Hospital family. |

Dr. Valerie Heartsfield, VMD |

Dr. Valerie Heartsfield received her VMD from The University of Pennsylvania. She began working with The Animals' Hospital in July of 2006. She continues to work with us part time as well as with several other area hospitals. Although, we do not see Dr. Heartsfield often we appreciate the medicine and knowledge that she brings to our clients and patients. |
